I did something kinda like that ,but not disrespectful. I was in my charger one day and a mach 1 mustang pulled up next to me and I was being a *** and was trying to race him . Well turn s out it was an under cover cop car . So as soon as I took off he flipped his lights on. I figured that was it I'm going to jail for trying to street race a cop . He pulled me over then pulled along side me said that old pig isn't faster then this stang I said yes sir it is he said ok you beat me I'll let you go and if the stang won I get a speeding ticket. So long story short I raped the mustang (440 car) and he let me go .and we became very good friend s he sold his personal 79 trans am and bought a cuda and still couldn't beat my charger ,he finely bought a brand new Shelby gt500 and sadly he beat me then . Anyway s thanks for the video it was funny

I was on the bike at a light and behind a kid in a vw gti turbo what ever they are, the lowered racing version of the olf vw golf's.. This kid had the radio up, talking to his buddy in the back seat, when the light turned green he matted that little fkr and took off, it moved right along, Ill give him that, BUT then he realized there was a cop sitting in the gas station at the light, watching the cars go by, I don't know how he missed the cop sitting there the entire time, he seen him too late, I drove by and looked back in the mirror, he was all lit up and pulled over... Gave me a little chuckle, kids are dumb...

So I'm sitting at a light in the '67 Barracuda notchback I had at the time(340, 4-speed). and a kid and his girl pull up in a mid-'80's Camaro RS. He looks over, revs the engine and flips me off. I just look at him. He then starts to power-brake it. I can see the car's suspension starting to torque and rise up, and after a few seconds a tire slips and lets out a 'chirp'. I slip it into first and tach her up to 4500 and give the clutch a quick slip. The Hoosier's bite and the whole car jumped vertically. The look on his face was one of 'enlightenment' and he quickly decided he needed to turn right immediately. I wonder what his girl thought about the whole affair?
A coworker was booked in the early seventies, and was sentencing for the charge of drag racing, for three days in county lockup. He worked midnight's at a die shop, and all of the workers, met at a coffee shop after. There were several cars all headed in one direction. Someone got frisky, and sped up, all followed at high speed. That's when the police got involved. We had so many bad accidents here, due to drag racing, on city streets, they made drag racing a first degree misdemeanor. Which equates to a year in jail, if found guilty. Ron was lucky at three days...

Big problem here for the sport of Drag Racing is people and the media referring to it as DRAG RACING !! It is not Drag Racing FFS, it is street racing. Every time someone dies over here going fast, they were drag racing, It's not great for our sport.
