Hey all. I've got myself a cast crank 440 from a 1974 C-body I bought for $150. My plan is to rebuild it with at least 9.5:1 compression and a few upgrades. What would the safe rpm limit be for a cast crank 440? I have heard from a few people that a steel crank can be revved up higher, and a cast crank shouldn't be taken over 4k rpm. Additionally, my goal for the engine is at least 400-500 hp. Will a cast crank hold up with that? Thanks.

I believe I´m at 380-420 hp. Just got a NOS sniper kit and planning on 150hp shot this season.
