Got bored yesterday, was cruising this site and others, and I stumbled upon something I've always wanted to do, so I up and did it. Painted my high beams yellow, and I really think I like it! Let me know what you guys think, be gentle on me lol here's the before and after.

It's if you like it.

I think it's been decades played-out around Motown with mopars. That, and dog-dishes.

It seems to work well with the yellow car. It is really about what you like, so if you like it, go with it!

i like it !! i want to do mine also, sure do wish you would have taken so pics of how you done it !

Step 1, remove highbeam headlight (self explanatory)
Step 2, clean highbeam with windex and then rubbing alcohol
Step 3, spray with Krylon brand stained glass paint (Hobby Lobby, Michaels, etc, the color I used was called Canary Yellow)
Step 4, BE PATIENT, paint has to dry. I did 3 or 4 light coats
Step 5, spray with 3 to 4 coats of Krylon brand glossy clear coat
Step 6, BE PATIENT, clear coat has to dry
Step 7, reinstall highbeams
Step 8, Enjoy!

Did mine in about 3 hours total

Kinda old fashioned... I think would never do it on my car, but kinda like them.

Sometime ago they were sold already painted... Dunno if still

Never have seen these before on any car! What car or year should have them?

These could be nice too! And if you ad outer ring trim even better
I have a set of plain polished aluminum ones already, but the wheels are reproduction wheel vintiques and somehow they don't fit... The ones I do have fit my grubby old 14s tho... Is there a difference between them? I had always planned on dog dishes and the set I bought from a member on here are top notch but somehow don't work, so I'm rolling naked until I can figure it out

Weird! If suposselly repros should be the same specs than originals!

althought I don't know if dogdish diameter area changes for 14" and 15" ? it seems you got bigger wheels

i really like them on yellow and blue cars, other colors not as much..

Yellow lights were required in France up until the late 1970's.

Ask me how I know this really obscure fact......

My other car..... It's a French Italian hybrid.

I like the, on your car - I wouldn't do it on mine and I generally don't like the look. Usually too gaudy for my taste. But to say again it looks fine on your baby.

The deal on yellow lights is just because the fog, not because fashion anyway. Whiter lights reflects over the fog. Getting some color shade like yellow on lights helps on get less reflection back from the fog
