A pile of live roots at the river by the waterfall where I lived 23 years.
Thousands of people walk over these yearly to visit the falls on the north branch of the Chicago River, watch herons dive from the dam, and sit nearby paddling ducks. A duck picture and water picture too. This is a very special place in Chicago.
