I just want the same hood that came off of it. If it looks the same I don't care. I am trying to restore the car to like new.

The you want a '68 hood. The underside is different between a 68 and 69.
I thought it was just the leading edge trim piece added to the 69's? Are they interchangable otherwise?

Nice car! Can't wait to see the finished product

What's wrong with your hood beside a few over taps.
Good luck find a decent one for under a $1,000.

Do you want to sell your current hood?

The under side is different. The 69 hood has provisions for the Ramcharger set up. The 68 does not. Plus, there are other differences like number of holes and placement of holes. They will fit and interchange and look fine until you lift the hood. Then it becomes obvious when they are not "correct".

With the hood insulation in it you won't see the holes. Mine came with the stock insulation and had no fitment problems and had it painted the same time as the car.
