are there any good replacement isolators out there? i yanked the engine out of my r/t and would like to change the isolators; originals look tired. i have some schumachers but they don't look as good as OEM stuff. what are you guys using?

Magnum Poly-Loc Mounts....several vendors, including Schumacher
Haven't broke one, yet.

Schumacher poly locks. A little black paint and they look somewhat original. They're a little pricey, but no need for a retaining strap. Doing some engine work on the R/T?

Schumaker Interlockers.

more of a clean-up, repaint, new heads, re-gasket thing. been beating on it for 21 years and it's ready for some TLC. just did a leak down test on it cold. exhaust valve leak on #5 which was the rough idle. other than that cylinders went from 2% to 5%, so i feel good about that.

What heads are you using on the R/T? Didn't you put Edelbrock heads on your Coronet? If I can be any help let me know. (Like you need any help!)

the '65 has RPM's. i'm going to keep the engine stock in the R/T so i'll be using some 906's. had them done last year. just been stalling about fixing stuff. machine shop screwed up the existing heads and i'm tired of trying to make a purse out of a sow's ear.

I had "Old reliable" in my current car, a self-made solid mount. Then, I decided to install a set of new regular mounts, to soothe the old bones. Mistake. Chinesium crap launched the fan into my radiator shortly thereafter. Polylocks in now. Satisfied.
