Myself and my wife Kathy wanted to thank all you great Mopar folks for the nice welcome we got on this forum. Also appreciate that there are so many of you willing to answer my many questions which will start soon. My wife loves Mopars (especially Coronet R/T's) and she helps me in the garage or the driveway. Wasn't sure where to post a "thank you" to all of you but "thank you", Richard

My wife working on the car  yea ok.

Well if I didn't say it earlier, welcome aboard from New Jersey!

Welcome to FBBO.

That's awesome. I think mine would try if it wasn't from some health issues. Not really sure.

Glad to have you on board and its nice to have a family project. Enjoy it my friend.
what are you planning on doing with your car?total resto,or just some things that need attention, body looks good from here.

That's great, it's nice to have a wife that supports you. My wife helps out when I need some help. And she has never said, "You spent how much for that"?

Wait, your wife HELPS you? Geez, now you are just showing off. I have a welding machine that came in today I am hiding in the garage from mine...
When we got together, we both agreed to help each other out on both our interests and daily life, Richard

That is pretty cool, my wife likes the car but not all the time and money spent on it (mostly the time). We have 2 little ones which take up most of our free time. Other than that she is supportive. I am just waiting for the right day to show her the El cheapo welder that just came in xD

That is how my wife is; she is always willing to help, and she likes learning. Some of my friends have to deal with the "how much did you spend for that"!! I show the same interests in her projects, Richard

The kids are all gone; so I finally have the time and a little more money than I had 20 years ago. It also helps a lot that Kathy likes the 70 R/T body, color(s), and interior. I look at it as her car also, that way she has a vested part in the project, Richard

I want to get the R/T in good operational condition. I want everything the car came with to work well. I'm not an exact "nut & bolt" restorer. First, I'll get those areas that need attention. Don't want a show car as I like driving the car. Paint and body are good. It was painted 8 years ago, and the guy did a very good paint job. The seats and door panels are original and do need to be redone. The dash switches (original) work but are wearing out. The car has plenty of power, so I'm not going to modify the drivetrain to make it go faster. I got plenty of tickets when I was young. The engine will eventually need rebuilding but runs good presently. I'll be on the technical forums very soon getting help on doing the work on this car; as this is my first Mopar, Richard
