Locked keys in trunk, no spare!

Went through the back seat, pliers to the latch tumbler shaft and opened deck lid.....no keys. 4 hours later my son found them in his jacket pocket! Lol
Ha, I bet that's the first lace you look next time.

For sure. I had offered a $200 reward to whoever found them, we searched for hours before my son remembered that he was wearing a different jacket when we were mounting the spare tire in the trunk of the Satellite. Went to his truck and there they were. Lol. Getting spares made today!

Funny. While I was reading this thread, I didn't picture your son as owning a truck.

Don't take this the wrong way but, when I got to here, I was picturing someone younger.

,funny story I bought this 2003 Toyota celica I had it sold the night before the guy was coming I went to move the car keys we're no where to be found I had 8 people looking . finely called a lock Smith he took the trunk lock apart for the code . problem fixed . week later keys showed up in my truck under the seat I took a 3" nail and ran it threw the clicker into my garage wall for a reminder not to loose keys or it will cost you $200

Guys if the situation like this happens where you lock the keys in the trunk but not the passenger compartment and you're at home with your tools, there should be NO crawling into the trunk. Remove the rear seat, get a flashlight and get 1/2" socket with a long extension. If not long enough take more extensions and combine them together. Use tape (I prefer black electric tape) and tape the extensions together so there's no chance of them coming disconnected during the process. Aim for the latch bolts while sitting in the back seat area because you have the long extension(s) and viola. Unless the keys are an easy grab, I prefer to do this practice rather than crawling and contorting my body.

Just my 2¢.
