What's The Fastest Speed You Have Been

Bruzilla, my friend is a pilot I am skydiver I tell him you have to exit plane to fly. Do you call driving a boat swimming ,no you have to get out. HUMOR INTENDED ONLY. I did not have time or $$$ to be a pilot, I had a lot of experience at falling it came natural. So my top speed is 180 with no motor and no intelligence

I like to fly but I'm in the same boat as far as $$$ go. In the 70's a buddy of mine showed me how to taxi and take off. Never did do any landings though. I like small air craft and hate the commercial flying buses. Haven't been on one of those damn things since 76!

When I was 40 it cost 16.50 for a jump from 14,000 ft. If you had license and gear, it was cheaper than golf. And a HECK of a lot more fun. My last jump I was 42 now at 58 I am getting a little itchy

not sure, but I buried the 150 speedometer in my 1969 coronet r/t on interstate 40 after a tune up , back in the day. front end was still up when I let off.
also had a lt500 quadzilla, piped and jetted w/ a sprocket tire change that would do well into the mid 90`s. could smoke a 650 dual purpose Honda mototcycle on the dry lakes.

if ratio of speed/CI means anything, I had a 1.3ltr smart car up to 195 kms/hr on the autobahn during a vacation in Germany. My wife wouldn't let me drive the rest of the trip :(

110 is nothing to brag about........................................but I did that on a snowmobile once (once was enough).

Ya, I did 75 on my brother in law's snowmobile, was plenty scary enough for me. 148 in my Arrow was a walk in the park.

155 in my Wife's 89 TransAM next to my brother in law in his 89 conquest TSI turbo on the Garden State parkway. Good Times!

When I was seventeen a friend of mine was banging a rich older gal. She let us take her Porsche out for a night. I'm not sure what model it was but we got it up to 170+ I quit looking at the speedometer and just started holding on for dear life.

I've been in a friend's Hell cat he got it up past 140.

I think 120 on a sled may be more exciting though. Any way about it a crash would result in closed casket funerals

Buried the speedo on a 72 Challenger (150 mph) we built for top end purposes only. There was still plenty of pedal left, not sure what the actual top speed was. I had to back out of it because every other concrete seam / rib in the interstate would pass under the car without a sound of the tires hitting it. If the car would have had wings we would have been airborne. A 72 Challenger wasn't designed to move that fast through the atmosphere.

We had no seat belts on either.

I'm a sissy, maybe 120mph. I like the zero to 100 mph acceleration, after that things happen fast.

215 mph in a 2008? I forget the year last one before they were stopped till the new ones . N.o.s. and a few other parts I blew the head into bits the owner tried to get it warranted they told him no because the car went over 200 or 205 can't remember the number . He tried playing it off they pulled the computer up and showed him . He wasn't happy but it gave him a reason to build the motor out I am not aloud to drive the new setup. This is verified by many people there used to be a video also I'll try making some calls to see if we can find that vid.
I've also done 172 in a Mitsubishi eclipse gt with the mivec v6 and 6 speed verified by the highway patrol at 2 a.m. on I95 nice guys (no jail for me )
Have you ever been certified? - as NuTS!!!!

The wife hit 126 in our 2015 Challenger R/T a few months back. Remote road, straight and flat as Kansas.
She currently holds the top speed in the car.

I had a Suzuki Samurai once...scariest ride of my life. It almost did 60mph going downhill with the wind behind me. I almost fell asleep from the boredom.

Had a 70 Challenger 383 4bbl (non RT) with a with a couple of mods and a 2.94 gear installed. 130 wasn't a problem but I found out why so many Challengers had aftermarket hood pins. That grille inset packed a lot of air and the leading edges of the hood was up a good 1/2" plus the front end of the car was up at least 2 inches! My 71 Cuda was much better at speed. No front end rise and the hood stayed down but it did have the factory pins. Kinda thought it might not be with that egg crate grill but it was.

234kph (145mph) on the Autobahn near Nuremberg Germany in an Audi A8 diesel. There was still more left.

Mine is not so impressive. In my old 72 se charger. It was a little over 135. I was more nervous in my 69 sweptline 318 truck with a junk yard 383. I buried the speedometer in the next gauge over. It may not have been as fast but that thing was floating all over the place. My cousin wouldn't try to stay with me in his ss El Camino. Maybe he was smarter.
