Caught these dopey Chinese imports loading a brand new TV into a BMW convertible at our Boxing Day sales last week. Box is way too big for the car.....too cheap to pay for delivery I guess.

Bear messing with my bird feeder. Picture one first time. Reinforced feeder so if it unscrewed and fell cage wouldn't collapse. Didn't help with a 300lb + pound bear. Had a 2x3 bolted to tree so I wouldn't have to climb a ladder to put cloth line pulley 13 feet up. Replaced 2x3 with a piece of 1" pipe 10 feet long and 3 feet or so off the ground. Bolted at 3' and 6.5 feet off the ground so. Had 5.5 feet to the top of pipe. Bear won't bend a 1" pipe, right, WRONG. Now the bear is sleeping. Put a piece of 2" pipe 5 feet long as a sleeve so it comes to about 3.5 feet from the top. See if that works in spring. I have cities with 100k people on in the area but have 300 acres behind my house of forest.

Well it's finally time to say goodbye. We donated our 1998 Olds Intrigue to the VOA auto donation program here in MI. It served us well since 1999 and has gone 147k miles so far. I talked to the driver when he picked it up today. The do a lot of pickups for the VOA. He asked what wrong with the car. I told him something happened to the power steering/rack and pinion just before I called to donate the car and it was leaking like crazy when I ran the car and it needs the front sway bar replaced. Those are the only major issues aside from all the rust. The 3800 motor runs very well. What I really liked is what the driver told me about the VOA program. He said as soon as he gets it to the drop-off location the mechanics will be all over the cars he's dropping off. They ask him if he was able to talk to the owners and what he knows about the cars. They will look the vehicle over and quickly decide if it's worth fixing. The driver was pretty sure they would fix mine. Anyway they'll fix the better cars and then match then up with a veteran that needs transportation. They sell the car to the veteran at a very low price (maybe even free in some cases), don't charge interest to them and set up a reasonable payment schedule. Makes me feel good that the car could end up with someone that really needs it.

I agree but maybe they should learn how to drive before becoming the captain of Mopar machine. They do require some skill to drive - especially if you're going to launch it.
