my 69' bee has B5 interior H2B code it's a 4 speed bench seat. What color for the carpet?
and would the dash frame and pads be the same shade dark blue?

I would think so, more comments from more knowledgeable to follow.. My '68 is all black.

Wonderful world of the colored interiors........If the whole interior matches from an OE standpoint its incorrect. Multi vendors were used and the parts variated in sheen, texture, and shades. If that route is not a concern then do one whole color.

Trust me I went through this just recently with the Red interior on my GTX. The BEST in the business is Dave Patik from performance car graphics. He can do it for you or you can get the correct colors from him. Just give him a call he is very passionate on quality and knows his interiors very well...

Colored interiors are challenging......but man they look beautiful when done right!

'74'- what diff would there be? Just curious..

I have always looked at the colors from this perspective would you think Dave would offer some of his knowledge to me. I'm at the point where I need to know if the dash pads would have been darker or lighter than the dash frame.

What about the carpet I think in the Plymouth line b5 interior 4 speed bench seat cars got black carpet? What about the the dodge line?

Well my dash frame is kinda 'matte' and pads are glossy. (original owner).

I have the dash frame, steering column and upper windshield trim in suede finish. Need to know the shade of the pads verses the dash frame

Absolutely! They are in Florida....Do not call in the AM unless you want to speak to Don(whom is super nice) but he will say call Dave after 1pm....Dave rolls in late and works real late. He is a very nice approachable gent and loves to talk about the hobby. Mention me, Justin with the GTX and roll from there....

As far as carpet he will give you suggestions. More than likely whats the appropriate route. You have a beautiful car and spending a lot of dough, waste an hour of your day talking to him...It is worth it....

BTW he did the majority of my interior and it is phenomenal

The pads WILL NOT match the frame I bet!

Thanks I will give him a call. I think the pads will not match the frame also. I have looked at pic after pic of B5 interiors and they seem to be all over the place on color but it's important to me for mine to be as close as possible to original. This car will never be a trailer queen but if I'm gonna do it I want to do it the best it can be done.

Thats correct....Hence, not one vendor was used to do the whole interior on these cars. Multi ones were used and all got a paint code and each decided what sheens to use during the moulding processes.

The dash frame paint will not exactly match the color of the pads. Same for the seat covers versus the center console. The list goes on. They compliment each other well and to the untrained eye...Most say beautiful red interior, period. However, the perfectionists in the hobby will notice it.

I know a lot will say big deal who cares, if someones picks my cars that much blah blah....But this is the way they were and I prefer that....

Trailer queen or not.......you have the right mindset, Do it Right! Things like this gets lost through laziness, misinformation, and cost associated.....

Jay Leno would say I build a 100pt show car so when I am done with it its around 70 plus, lol....

BTW that blue interior is stellar when done right!

I would expect dark blue carpets. Mine is. Disregard the floor mats.

I believe that all 69 Road Runner 4-speed cars came with black carpet. I would think that 69 Bees would have been the same? Curios to know the answer to this one.

It's was my understanding that the Plymouth cars with a console received color keyed carpet
and 4 speed bench seat cars got black but I can't say that's certainly true.

Steve,
It is my opinion that the carpet could go either way. So people will say that it could only be black, but I have seen and heard of too many instances of the cars having colored carpet. As you alluded to earlier, it seems that the chances of colored carpet increases with the deluxe interiors and consoles. I do not think that it is so much a Dodge or Plymouth thing. This same question is also debated for the A-Bodies as well.
