OK, don't know where to turn now

Have surface rust inside the door on the hinge end. Does not go through. Surface rust also where the quarter windows roll down into. And on the ceiling between the frames. All these areas I cannot get a wire brush, sandpapper or even my hands to to remove the rust.What should I do to stop the rust. I bought some MAR-HYDE to spray in these areas. Says it converts rust to black primer sealer. But read where it will cause paint to bubble later on. Not sure where to go from here.

You can apply with a small brush and then wash off......that way you do not spray all over the paint as the can version....

You and Moparnation are on the right track. You want something that "converts rust to a black paintable surface" It turns iron oxide (rust) into iron phosphate I believe. I've used the Permatex product & another one by SEM called Rust Mort with good success. Both were sort of runny, like watered down Elmer's glue and I applied them with the cheapest paint brush I could find since the brush will dry hard/unusable. I've used these products for years when doing bondo/rust repairs to convert the rust in little "nooks & crannies" I can't get to with sandpaper.

I never had a problem whatsoever....you can always try a small test area and give it time....

If rust is under the paint the fear is it may attack that rust underneath the paint and cause peeling/lifting but I never had that happen in the past.....

I haven't had a problem with this either & I keep my cars a LOOONNNNNNGGGG time. Rust is what bubbles up paint. These products eliminate the rust by turning it into something else. I've used it to get rid (react away) the last tiny little bit of rust in the repair areas.

Don't get me wrong, you need to cut/scrape out ALL the rust you can first. You can't just paint this stuff over a half-rusted quarter panel and paint over it.

I'll get as much rust off as I can reach. Then I'll shoot it with that MAR-HYDE and see what happens. Thanks for all the help.
