I tried three different base plates, I already have a 383 base plate original to the car. I put in a 440 and needed the base plate for that engine. The first one, I thought they made a mistake, was the same as my 383. I sent it back and received a second base plate, I had the same issue. Third time around, I received a piece that was painted over rust. Same issue, the base plate was wrong. I got on "For B-Bodies only" and someone else told me about Snobar@shakerhood.com. I spoke with him extensively, he sold me the correct 440 base plate. I spent $500 however the prices have gone up since then. Any more questions feel free to ask. If it wasn't for the people on this site sharing their experiences, information, and pictures it would have taken much longer.

Is this the baseplate needed to adapt a Ramcharger Air to a 440 4 barrel?
