Hello everyone.
I'm a new guy on this site that recently acquired my very first Mopar project and am very excited to to build / restore this car. It's a 1968 Coronet 318 Automatic. I've never restore anything but Mustangs so there will be a big learning curve ahead for me. I'm hoping I can pick your brains as to what parts go to what as well as get good advice on my project. The car was a complete car that the previous owner disassemble and then life changed his plans. The body is pretty solid and the engine and trans are numbers matching. He says all the parts are there, just in boxes. The front clip was replace for whatever reason back in the day so the data tag is gone. Below is what I'm starting with.

Welcome, looks like a nice roller. Can't wait to see it finished. Are you staying the same color?

Welcome to the madness . . .

when you get started, put a build thread out on the Projects & restorations Forum to keep everyone informed on your progress - and to ask any questions that you might have

Welcome to the Forum! Use as many of the original parts, nuts, bolts, etc as you can. Mustangs have EVERYTHING available new and the new stuff is relatively good but Mopars have A LOT of junk repop high priced parts available......

As another stated start a build thread here and I would love to follow the restoration!

The guy I bought it from threw in an entire new interior that is all still in boxes, so the interior will be maroon. As for the exterior, I'll see what the original color was when I pull the windshield and backlite. Hopefully the original paint is still there I'm betting it was also maroon. I kinda think it will look good Jet Black with red or white stripes in back. I think it was also a vinyl top car since it has the holes for the trim, not sure if the trim was also on non vinyl cars?

Welcome to FBBO. Love those 68 Cornonets - keep us in the loop on your build.

Welcome from Canada, some southern stuff came with the trim and a white painted roof, or a sprayed vinyl roof because of the heat would destroy a regular one. Needs a big block,I think everything needs a big block though:thumbsup:
