IMO UA was within their rights & laws, moral or not...
Just bad PR for UN...
It really shouldn't be either...
I hope it gets thrown out of court, another frivolous lawsuit,
on the assumptions & logical standing, that it was easily avoidable,
only if he had complied with the officers requests..
He told them to paraphrase;
"he wouldn't get off, they'd have to drag him off"
He got exactly what he asked for IMO !!
The laws are laws & rules are rules, usually for good reasons,
he willingly/willfully broke both of them...
Always 2 sides to any story...
I don't know why UA apologized even...
They did what they are supposed to do,
he was noncompliant & belligerent !!
Even if it could have been handled better/differently,
they were within the laws & their rights to remove him...
He could have just walked off, got financially well compensated
$800-$1200 & got to go on another flight to boot...
He's a dumbass plain & simple, after he refused he'd have been
just another threat & disruption to the attendants & other passengers safety...
