Today is the last day of "the greatest show on earth" after 146 years the circus tents will be pulled down for good

I heard something about that last year IIRC,
sad piece of history, will be no longer...

I guess the "alleged" Elephant deal & PITA won ultimately...
No acts with Elephants & the circus isn't what it use to be...

Sad really, I went to a few B&B Circuses, in Oakland & SF
in my youth, it'll be missed...

Yeah they announced it last year and said they would be doing one more tour and tonight is the last show

went to their final show here in Norfolk, VA a few months ago ... sad... I'm guessing ticket sales were down

Surprising that the pc police didn't end this sooner. I remember looking out the back window growing up in Allentown and watching the Circus Train backing into the siding across the street.
