TennesseeDid you buy the car out of Virginia![]()
I'm bettin it came to Tennessee from south east VirginiaTennessee
There's not another end. It's splices into the tach. Apparently to plug the tach up to somethingI think I'd be finding out what's on the other end of that plug before I'd plug it in . . . wow . . . that's really interesting . . .
Maybe. It did have a South Carolina title with it. Yet I bought it from a guy in NC. I guess he moved. He said he bought from a guy in TnI'm bettin it came to Tennessee from south east Virginia
Oh just poking a little fun. I would remove it from the tach circuit if it contacted the chassis it could ground out the coil voltage. Maybe someone put it there for a convenient way to monitor the signal from the coil?Maybe. It did have a South Carolina title with it. Yet I bought it from a guy in NC. I guess he moved. The green wire from the tach is connected to the MSD6AL. And the car has a 6000 chip pluged in. So I'm completely lost here. Why would they plug the tach into the MSD. For what purpose I guess is what I'm askingIt plugs into the 6al box I've seen some hillbilly repair s before and I think they shove it in where the limiter chip gos welcome to the south
Yea I know. This ole car has been around. I'm gonna give her some much overdue luv. Treat her to some high octane race gas. Good engine oil , new tires & a lot of new parts.Oh just poking a little fun. I would remove it from the tach circuit if it contacted the chassis it could ground out the coil voltage. That will have to make her feel better.Yea I know. This ole car has been around. I'm gonna live her some much overdue luv. Treat her to some high octane race gas. Good engine oil , new tires & a lot of new parts.
No, no other end in sight. It's wired into another lead from the tach. Kinda makes me think it's meant to record shift points or RPM.Don't know I fix stuff right! I can converse with a hillbilly and ask! Stupid ? But do you by chance see a female end anywhere it might have been a make shift quick disconnecting instead of a switch!
I don't think soNot a home made kill switch then?
Makes senseTennessee
