So, after drives with any throttle blasts I notice some oil drops around the valley cover, but if I take it out and cruise it without getting on it too hard, it's perfectly dry when I get home. I use a pcv with a filter-style breather on the other side, and I'm thinking that under throttle as vacuum drops there isn't enough suction to vent the crankcase properly, even though it's brief... The breather I'm using doesn't seem to let air flow outward very well so it momentarily becomes like a closed system (Melling high-pressure oil pump btw) I'm thinking I need to switch to the regular Mopar style breather, so the pressure can escape under any vacuum condition...does this make sense or am I just trippin'(again lol!) Thanks for your input!

MAybe oil coming from frt/rear seal on valley cover around the bolts from inadequate v.c. breather? Sounds kinda far-fetched I know.

Thanks, that's what it looks like...when vacuum is at it's lowest, crankcase pressure is at it's highest and this breather only flows air into the engine to feed the pcv (which is doing nothing when there's no vacuum)... I only get leaks when it has seen full throttle..so the regular breathers flow in either direction, is that right?

I think ur right. From the few factory breathers I remember it looked like a bunch of horsehair looking mesh in there, no one-way valve or anything.

Anyone ever use one of these adjustable pcvs?

maybe too much crankcase pressure due to blow-by past the rings. pcv's don't work at WOT.
Yes! So at full throttle I basically have an un-vented crankcase...weepy only after some WOT so I'm chucking the current breather for one that actually 'breathes'..

Anyone ever use one of these adjustable pcvs?
