Does any body know if this is just the way it is ,
i have a 4 new tyres and balanced them my self, a new driving shaft.
i feel the steering wheel and car a bit vibrate , i see they make a steering coupler that has a vibration stopper in it is this the fix and is it because the steering coupler is the stock one
gm use a rubber disc in there coupler i think for this reason
before i go crazy and start looking for the problem .maybe the wheels need rebalancing
or is the disc that are cheap and drum china junk
thanks

Shouldn't have anything to do with the steering coupler going to the box. GM did it because they support the steering column shaft in a different way.

Your drums could be out of balance as well. Is it a constant vibration, get worse with speed/rpm???

This can come from many places. What has changed?

1. Drive shaft??
2. Drums??
3. You mentioned tire balance.
i changed the front from drum to disc
added power steering
changed the diff , new drums ,
new tires
new drive shaft
i just saw on classic industries they have a joint steering coupler
Mopar steering universal joint & vibration reducer in steel
this is there claim that why wondering if it was just a characteristic of the car
so guess going to recheck the wheels and go from there.to me it s not all one thing
i refaced the new drums , after i put them on they were not straight they vibrated on braking at 70 mph
now thats gone I'm sorting the vibration in steering wheel.the power steering box i used is from the 82 diplomat and so is the knuckles and diff .
