Stink bugs- they're all over.

Ok here's the formula that works . Spray bottle, 2cups hot water, 1cup vinegar, 1/2 cup liquid soap. Put it in bottle in that order so there's no foam from the soap building up while pouring, then you can shake away. The little buggers hate it, if they rollover on their back one more squirt does them in. The kids&grandkids can have a field day! No smell because ur not squashing them! Plus, a few will do a St.Vitas(?) dance while going to there just reward. No gunshots just total silence while doing a total massacre with ur spray bottle!!!!!
 
They're attracted to light, so build a box with window screen on all sides and a light bulb inside. Cut a small flap in the top and you're done.

No need to spray, catch, kill. Put it in a dark room and turn it on and those f$&@ers will catch themselves.
 
I’ll have to try that because we have them everywhere here in Indiana
 
What the heck is a stink bug? Do they actually smell? We don’t do bugs much here in coastal California.
 
They started here on the east coast, now sounds like they're headed west. I think it was three years ago it was literally disgusting here. These things were everywhere and I mean everywhere and lots of them.

They emit an odor as a defense, I really don't notice it but others seem to.

I think they're some sort of man made mutation to survive a nuclear holocost. They can stay dormant for a year or so and seem to come back to life.

in our house THE BUG A SALT IS KING PUMP AND PULL TRIGGER GETS IT DONE
 
have had some of those last year.
 
They are still on the east coast somewhat. I've been seeing a few but the epidemic has been over for a couple of years. This year the cicadas are more prominent. The next couple of years there will be more. Last year traveling south the cicada were peaking.

There are quite a lot of insects that are introduced here in the states for a reason but end up being a nuisance. The Asian Lady Beetle was just recently introduced ( the bad lady bug, orange in color). Then this stink bug that found its way here from Asia. It's destroying a lot of crops.

Maybe but it's daylight out all day(?) They like heat.
 
I had a swarm come by my house a couple of years ago. My doors and windows were open and many found places to hide in the house out of sight.
I have several large windows (6'x6') and when they wanted to move they landed on the inside of the windows.
A small Dirt Devil vac. was my sucky way of gathering hundreds of them from the windows. It took several days.:eek:
BTW I released all of them to the local water treatment plant for processing back into the environment.:)

Yeah they stink especially when smashed, I don't think the sea breezes will stop them. Crawl in any crack at cold weather & then they show up inside when spring comes. "Warning Will Robinson"!
 
We used to have a lot around here, don't see them as much anymore. We've been invaded by the Asian beetles, they look like ladybugs but are not them...
Freaking invasive spieces are going to destroy our resources. I was watching a documetary on the Illinois river and how the carp have destroyed that ecosystem.
The next big tradgedy will be the tiger mussels for sure...those things are unstoppable!

Yeah but then you got black heat spots on the walls,etc. And yes those Asian ladybugs are nasty, they'll chew on ya too; unlike our homegrown ones.
 
Moparedtn & I are definitely going to h---! Fun again today!! Ya know if you have little v-grooves in your soffit they'll crawl in there too. Keep the killing fields going!

Yeah I know, open windows & no screens; gotta love it. Well if these suckers show up out there I'll be wishing I bought shares in window screen companies!
