It Wasn't A Machine Gun

I think it's extremely important to know & understand the facts when allowing the VERY ignorant politicians to make laws, rules & regulations about things they don't really know or understand.

The guy in the video is spot on. I've got a bump-fire on my AR, and the firing rate does change depending on how hard you put pressure on the fore-grip.

What's done is done, nothing can change the past. But I'd hate to see the responsible and legal gun owning community blamed for this.

I'm with Jeff on this one.

Well now that you know all there is about the weapon used, maybe you could learn a bit about how those wh lost loved ones feel. How insensitive of you.

What are you even talking about? Information is knowledge, knowledge is power. It does no harm to educate, particularly because there is little chance of exposure to the victims. What are you personally doing about the high rate of stabbings in your own country? Ban the knife for Briton's sake!

The guns were bought and made for a purpose. The guy was sick. We can't and shouldn't sugar coat it. I know you guys are pro gun and will leave it at that. I am not anti gun (own some myself) but I am for some sort of responsible structure to keep the public safe. And I know what works in one place does not necessarily work in another. I am waiting to see the dust settle and learn what really happened and what really was there.

This was taken in room where he was firing from. Looks like bump stock to me.

I think we're all getting different numbers. Last I heard (on Fox), there were 17 at the hotel (16 rifles & 1 handgun) and 18 firearms (breakdown unknown) at his residence. That's a shitload of firearms for someone who is supposedly not a big firearm enthusiast and who has lived a relatively normal/quiet life.

As for Tom Petty, I am bummed beyond belief. What an incredible singer with a such a unique voice/style. I hate to see the passing of such a great performer like him overshadowed by such a horrific tragedy. RIP Tom.
This is what happens when you react to initial news reports. His brother claimed he had only a couple of firearms, but all the evidence shows he didn't know his brother as well as he thought. One of the gun shops that he frequented released a statement yesterday that yes they had sold him guns, but they were all purchased legally and didn't set off any flags.

I don't think he was sick. People with psychological problems that drive violence tend to focus their hostility on a single person. This guy wanted to take out a whole lot of people, which is more of a symptom of anger. I suspect he was pissed at those people.

Didn't realize that's what a 100 round mag looked like. Would have guessed that at 50 rounds. Still this guy got off so many "auto" rounds for quite a while.

Yup. Surefire makes a 60 and 100 rd mag. Here's one in my rifle, it's a blast for shooting targets. Pretty soon they'll be unobtanium, and I'll be glad I got one.

Doesn't matter what gun or how many
It's the nut case behind the guns, that is the problems
Guns don't kill anyone, it's a damn loony person
or someone with full intent to kill, pulling that trigger,
if they "couldn't have done it with a gun", they'd use something else
a bomb, a sword, a car/truck, a plane etc.

Gun If Guns Kill than.jpg

If some wack job wants to kill a shitload of people they will,
doesn't matter how stringent any laws are, those laws only pertain
to the law abiding & sane people, insane or people with an agenda
sane or insane...
Most 99.99% that wouldn't think of mass murdering or shooting up
a crowd of people in the first place, it's a mental issue,
an Political Ideology, intended to kill a select group/type of people like this was
& an agenda driven social issues, more than anything,
someone that's sick in some way, to even think of doing it,
especially planning it out...

Gun If guns kill how does anyone get out of a gun show alive.jpg

It's not the tool it's the wack job, that wants to kill, using the tools

Only a shitty carpenter blames the hammer, for a messed up job...

Gun Laws 2nd Amendment Liberals trying to change the American's right.jpg

You can't blame the tool...
Unless it's a Liberal Tool that are trying to make it all about
"the firearms/weapon" for their agenda, to disarm & weaken
law abiding Americans...

Gun Laws 2nd Amendment Quote 1764 & 1767 Thomas Jefferson.jpg

That fact we have the 2nd Amendment has kept US a free country
& mostly free of govt. tyranny {they fear the armed masses, that could use them, to insure it}
for as long as it has been...

They have allready band knives. They have arrested butchers over taking there tools home to sharpen them.
Guess they now use axes and hammers.

All of the left media speakers cannot speak about the killings (in this case) without moving to the topic of guns. (Jimmy Kimmel came to tears and then to guns).
As others have said--cars,trucks,airplanes,etc. And even pressure cookers are recent ways used that kill in the hands of KILLERS.

They are blind and simple-minded as well as grasping at the current political chatter.
By their brand of "common sense" Why do they not propose a ban or some new law against--KILLERS.--:realcrazy:
Hmm that has been tried and killers still kill-damn.

North Korea (for example) seems to have a good handle (control) on their countries guns.:realcrazy: And they don't seem to have mass killings like this. They have peace among their countrymen. I'm sure they have crazy folks that kill at random like we all do but it is likely not by guns that individuals acquire.

What we have here is 'politically correct gun talk' and griping about people who argue against guns. Nothing all that new. Nothing is going to change with the US, so I don't see why everyone is so bent out of shape about that possibility. Just move on, focus on the guns and skip the butthurt about liberals this and liberals that.

And yes they do, twice!
