Piss off commercials

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AGREE WITH THIS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Add that stupid lizard and that companies bait and switch commercials to the above. But over all they all suck. Especially now at the holidays where they have to take the Christmas and holiday songs and make jingles for their stupid products. It just makes me sick. I'm wearing out the mute button on my remote!!

Mattress Firm. The music! Who the hell is their target audience?

The mistreated animals makes me sad.
Couldn't care less about the starving children.

Agree. I turn away from the commercials about cruelty to animals. I can't stand to watch them. As to the ones about starving children, well, I've been seeing those for decades and after trillions of dollars to fight hunger, they're the same commercials. I'd bet decades from now they will still be the same commercials, so I ignore them. You just can't fix Africa...sorry.

Chantix. Weak minded **** heads who can't quit smoking on their own. No willpower.

Subaru. Again. Crying millennial on the phone with mom/dad. Get a life. Get out of the basement.

My personal opinion is the FDA should ban these commercials for prescription meds. Its a money making gimmick by drug companies to get people to persuade doctors to prescribe certain medicines.

I wish I could agree with a bigger check mark.
I've been to my regular doctor several times in the last few years and have never asked him about meds. advertised on tv. I don't want to embarrass him or me by doing so.
Our doctors are people just like us and they see the ads that we see. If they have to defend practicing their craft against advertisers it feels like an unnecessary block for them to deal with before they even start to prescribe something.
When my doctor gives his opinion about what will be good for my situation I am not about to argue with him about an ad I saw on TV.

I do wonder about that, Steve.
Tell your Doctor about "Afuxinn"....
There are some Doctors that are not aware of all the new medications that become available. Some Doctors are ahead of the curve, some are not. Every profession has people that are proactive and learn all that they can about new tools, new medicine, new procedures....AND the lazy, time clock puncher types that have no interest in improving themselves.

Most doctors know about these new advertised drugs before we see them on TV. Representatives of drug companies hand out free samples all the time. Its up to the physician to decide what meds will work for there patient not the patient demanding or suggesting some meds they see on TV or read about in a magazine

Good and important/valid point. If we feel a sense of discomfort with our doctor -don't feel shy about seeking another.

And this one

Your sitting in front of your TV having a Pizza and look what 's on the screen...I'm going to find out what restaurant the Commercial writers eat out at and then when they start to eat am going to take me shoes off an put my foot on there table, show them my feet with toe fungus, maybe I'll show them Explosive Bowl Syndrome also. That should f-up their meal.

Edit. Two posts, I knew something went wrong. The first went AWOL, so I posted the second one...now there's two.

--------------------------Kern, some doctors are great and a credit to there profession and some just plain suck. However if you know a say for example a GP with a family practice then folks would know that many of these doctors there day does not end when office hours are over. They attend continuing education as required , they attend meetings, research particular illness and many still do hospital rounds before and after office hours. They interact with reps from pharmaceutical companies and get updates on new meds as related to there specialty.

The spray rubber commercials......really, a boat? I wonder if it would replace a trojian too!!
