I saw the latest Restoration Garage episode where a guy in Canada had seven Superbirds. He wants to avoid auctions and I guess wants only to sell to high end clients.
 
Drive a different one each day of the week! I like it!!!
 
There was a guy in OH who had at least three, and at least that many 71 Super Bees as well.

I really wanted to buy one of is birds in 1987 for the $2500 he was asking.
Oh, well. It's a good story

All in a different color too that was available back in the day.
 
There's a guy in Alberta who had a slew of them back in the '80's. Probably the same guy. Anyone who knew him said he was a dick but I guess that's beside the point. Personally I can understand avoiding auctions - especially with cars like Superbirds or Daytonas. When you figure there's going to be 10% of the sale price coming off each end to the auctioneer, that gives a fair bit of wiggle room to both the buyer and seller on a private sale.
