Washers don't stay on screws like OEM, screws are a little tuff going in because of the self tapping part of the screw. And the castings seem a little rougher texture than oem's. But mine isn't a restoration so those things weren't really critical to me.
They look sharp! On my 62, I blasted and zinc plated the original strikers in my garage. I used a battery charger in a vinegar / epsom salt solution with a zinc diode to add the zinc to the part. White zinc, not yellow.
Well I screwed up on the coupler! The one I ordered was 1/64 to big. So I returned it, and ordered part #312500 19.00 should be here saturday!
So I did a little work on the holes on the column selector ring. Filed it down then put the last coat on to fill the holes.
I got the cheap generic driveshaft loop from jegs. I reworked it a bit to fit.

I had to remove some of the vertical leg on the bracket for clearance and drill another set of holes lower for the loop.
I think it'll fit pretty nice. I located it on the seam where the front and rear floorpan over lap. Figured it would be a little stiffer there and is still only 6" from front u joint.
Got my dash & column parts back last night so got them up and primed. I did it on the parking side of my garage where it was about 60 degrees. Cooler temps help from getting dry spots when priming/painting.
I have a couple questions on the ash tray. Is the knob supposed to be dash color or black. And are the screws that hold the tray in dash color or left zinc. My dash had been painted previously so was hard for me to tell what was right.

Got my indicator lense. Thanks Justin for the lead, mine was pretty rough as you can see. These are the little things that make a huge difference in my book.

No problem always happy to help my friend....What a difference between those 2 pieces....I agree this is one item you will notice a lot. These focal areas should always be nice....

Tim, looking good. Question on the driveshaft loop....it bolts in through the floorpan, correct? I will probably add one to mine but mine but was contemplating mounting options.

Yes through the floor. I added 4 more bolts closer to the loop than it came with. I also flattened & widened the hoops to give me more clearance. Think I'll be going with a Mark Williams 3.5" drive shaft. After I got it bolted in it was rock solid. Using it at the seam of the floorpans gave it more strength!
I also cut holes in the rubber sound deadening to help get rid of bumps under the carpet.

I painted the back of the dash white incase I ever have to crawl under there to work on anything after the fact it'll be easier to see.
