Recommendations for a driveshaft loop, adj. pinion snubber, and line lock.
Thanks for suggested sources and part numbers!

You could get it all at Mancini Racing.Check out their web site.Prices & part numbers are all there. That is one of many places to buy.

I have the links to the 3 parts from Mancini. I appreciate all of the advice. Although twice the price, I like the Mancini loop that mounts to the transmission crossmember. I have to make sure it clears my exhaust. They recommended a really nice snubber for my Dana 60, and the Hurst line lock.
Any extra brake line tubing required to connect the line lock? They don't include any.

Mr thinks with higher HP cars that a snubber is not the best way to go.When I had issues with the adjustable snubber is when I stepped up the the cal trak package.

I had the Lakewood universal loop. When I upgraded to an aluminum shaft,it did not fit the loop. After some slicin & dicin, then welded it together,I saved some weight with the hardware and reshape of the loop.

I agree. 6xx HP and 6xx TQ stroker in the future and Street Lynx 4 link will follow, but for now, I am looking for some safety and traction enhancements with what I have.
Here are the links to the Mancini parts:

I bought the cheap generic jegs loop 30$ I think. Had to do a little tweaking but rock solid once installed.

I went back and read your posts and looked at the pix. How did you keep that from making a lump in the carpet? Also I will have to look at my 70 Roadrunner and see if I have a "double" floor pan overlap in a good spot.

I got the moroso line lock from summit, go to suggested parts and there’s a brake line kit you can get with it

I have a gear vendor overdrive so my loop is a little farther back. I had sound deadener so I cut holes in it for the bolt heads. Hope this helps.

Yes through the floor. I added 4 more bolts closer to the loop than it came with. I also flattened & widened the hoops to give me more clearance. Think I'll be going with a Mark Williams 3.5" drive shaft. After I got it bolted in it was rock solid. Using it at the seam of the floorpans gave it more strength!

I also cut holes in the rubber sound deadening to help get rid of bumps under the carpet.

Got it! Thanks. I may get the Mancini one because it mounts to the transmission crossmember...simple, fast, no holes when I remove it for clutch work.

It's .25 thick x 2.5 wide.
Once installed you only need to remover the bottom half of the loop for access.

Alright Tim, I have this idea in my head and want to see what you think. I want to order the same loop but.....what do you think about welding it to the dual exhaust pipeing? I was thinking of cutting the ears off and welding the loop in between the pipes with access section still retaining the bolts. My exhaust from the header collectors, H pipe and to the front of the mufflers is removable. Seems like it would be pretty solid without drilling through the pass compartment.

I would think it would be pretty flimsy. Your exhaust only has one solid mounting point at the headers. All the hangers in the back are rubber suspension types. Plus your engine does move a little due to rubber motor mounts (unless you have solid ones). I wouldn't think it'd be that big a deal to remove the front seat and pull up the carpet.
If the front ujoint fails it isn't going to stop spinning till the car stops. That's a lot of abuse your asking of 5 inches of exhaust tubing. Just my 2 cents.

Don't use a pinion snubber plus spend the money for a complete Cal Trac setup....NOT the bolt on 4 link...
A little more help/advise with this please, hear me out.
I am getting the pinion snubber to improve traction, reduce rear axle/spring wind up, until the new rear suspension makes the top of "the list".
I priced out a full CalTracks setup and it is about 2/3rds the cost of the StreetLynx, some of which is welded on. Why would you/are you recommending CalTracks over a real 4 link? Thanks in advance and also to all others participating!
