Looking for used or NOS master cylinder for '69 bendix disc brake car, prefer date code pre NOV '68, will consider others. p/n is 2883058. The casting number should be 2226821 on the bottom of the cylinder. PM me here with details.

You are going to have a lot of trouble finding a N.O.S. ++ MOPAR ++ for this application..... a guy had one N.O.S. at the Mopar Nationals about 6 or 7 years ago ---
and wanted $ 1500 for his...........
I made the first reproduction over 15 years ago -- and have it for $ 99......
Call me -- Craig -- 516 - 485 - 1935...... West Hempstead, New York.....

I replied with a link for you over on DC well over a week ago...
Thanks for the heads up. For some reason the DC page didn't alert me you'd replied. That one was not the right date code, but thanks anyway!

Thanks Craig. I have found a core with the wrong date code. Right now I am looking for the right date code. Thanks for the offer!

I have a MC with the casting number 2226821. It has Bendix followed by a 3 on the casting.
How do I read/interpret the "date code"?

Date code should be on the drivers side just under the lid. Two rows of numbers. Also, if you flip it upside down, there is a 3 digit casting date on the lip.

Maybe you can read the code?--Is this ---March 1968?
There are no numbers on the side below the lid.

This is the second one I've seen with no stamping on the side. The bottom date is the day of the year it was made in the year it was made. So a 241 for example, would indicate the 241st day of whatever year it was made. You get the year from the stamping in the side.

Is that one you are wanting to sell?

I've kept it as a spare along with the rotors and calipers it came with. (I think it was a 69 coronet RT).
I will consider selling it but need to gather all those parts as well as my thoughts for an updated look about value to me for my projects.
Send me a PM
