I'm converting to front disks from an a-body with the 2.75" calipers and 11' rotors. I want to stick with a manual system. To confirm, the 15/16 note master is the better choice over a 1 1/32', correct? If so, the only factory master I can find in that size is from an a-body with power brakes. Will this power brake master work in a manual system with my existing manual brake pushrod, or should I just buy the 15/16 master from Dr diff or right stuff? I've done a bunch of searching, but i can't seem to find out what the difference is between a manual and power master cylinder and if they are interchangeable.

The 15/16 master cylinder is recommended with manual disc. Long pedal travel, but stops good.

I would buy from Dr Diff.

Should be less pedal pressure than with the larger bore MC.

Im using the 15/16 kit from doctor diff. It says you can use the original pushrod but in my experience this is not the case. My brakes work fine but the 3/8 inch difference the adapter plate adds causes the brake switch to not disengage, so the brake lights are always on.

Easy adjustment. Loren brake switch and slide back and up slightly.

Getting ready to put in Clutch/brake assembly so I will check it out then. I tried adjusting the one on the current pedal and could not get enough to get it to engage.

You want the plunger of the switch pushing back. There is lots of adjustment room.

The Ram Man is a good "to go to" person on brake parts also. Check out his YouTube videos for some good info. Call him for what you're trying to do and he'll tell you just what you need.

I'm useing a 15/16 from a E body on a four drum setup.

I'm using the Dr. Diff manual disc setup, 15/16" bore master cylinder.

The Dr. Diff recommended 15/16" bore master has a newer double plastic cap arrangement (according to his site's picture). I would prefer a more original looking MC. Any thoughts on other options (going from 4 drum manual to convert to A-body front disc, while retaining manual brakes). I asked Cass but he is away till Friday.

I just converted my front drums to discs, in my 70 Satty, with an SSBC kit. I ordered the 15/16" bore Right Stuff manual master cylinder from Summit. Installing the new MC and an SSBC prop valve this weekend. Will let you all know how it works.

Awesome. I’d be very interested in knowing how it turns out.

NJRR would you have the part number for that master cylinder? I'm doing the same brake swap on my 69
