Adjustable Voltage Regulators

I used one in my '71 Charger with trunk mount battery. The battery was getting a bit less voltage because of the length of the wires. I adjusted the regulator for 13.8 to 14.0 V at the battery. I think the voltage difference from alternator to battery was about 0.3 volts? Probably time to double check my connections. The battery re-locations was done almost 30-years ago.

I thought everybody ran adjustable regulators. Preset than adjustment switch on the dash.
