I changed my battery and my blinker and flashers would not work afterwards. Put in new flasher and it did not fix. I found another small three pronged silver lil canister that gets hot enuff to fry bacon. No part nmbr on it. I suspect its the problem. Any help appreciated. Matt

That is the timer for the ignition switch light. Should not get hot

Welcome to FBBO. I moved your thread to the electrical section for more exposure. Good luck.

You should have a flasher for turns & another for the 4-ways. Have to think about it some more.

I do have two flasher switches but when j substituted them with new switches from OReillys it changed nothing. Still dont work. Did not have this problem until i changed the battery.

Thank you for that information, and sorry if I was too harsh but this is a major pet peeve of mine when people ask for help but provide no info on what they are working on. It got the better of me this time.

Now that you've told us what car it is, maybe someone will be better able to advise you on the solution to the problem.

Think he meant flashers, not switches. I’m still mulling it over, maybe just a coincedence it happened at same time?

No problem. Life is full of all kinds of people. Love em all. I appreciate your apology. No worries. Just glad some folks are willing to help.

Yeah i called them switches. They are the flasher cylinders.

My 4-way emergency flashers were not working. A suggestion from another thread said to turn the switch on/off a gizillion times because it might be corroded. It started working one light at a time. Works fine now.
