Need shaft and all parts from steering gear on up to collar at the base of the Audi steering wheel under the dash. I understand that 67 Coronets had a steering wheel/ shaft/body that stuck out into the engine bay. Mine does not, it's inside under the dash. So, what ever shaft goes from the gear back towards the column will be what I need and then I will have to improvise.

well Im confused by what you said but I have a couple 67 steering shafts from wheel to stg gear box--maybe its what your looking for????

Thanks but nope. It's cornfusing , I know..

It sounds like you are going to cut the lower part of the column and graft it to your Audi set up correct? I have the one I removed from my R/T when I switched to manual steering but I need to dig it out from storage. I don't have the coupler that goes to the steering gear though. I'll try to go to the storage this weekend if you don't find what you need before then.

Thanks, I have it figured out now...

Now you have to share what you figured out:poke::popcorn2:
What I did was order a Borgeson 5/8ths 36 spline x 3/4 smooth hole swivel joint that will connect to the steering gear shaft. From there I have a 3/4 splined shaft already that is long enough to connect to the Audi steering shaft under the dash. What I will have to do is mill off the splines so that end will go in the smooth hole of the swivel joint, i'll drill through and insert a roll pin there. The upper end needs to be 1/2 square at least on two sides. I will mill down the 3/4 smooth end where I cut the rag joint away from the shaft, down to 1/2 inch so it will clamp up. The Audi wheel is tilt/telescopic. That should do the job. My only remaining concern is how that set up will do as far as headers will be concerned, and I cannot answer that until the 440 is sitting in there. The difference is that the Audi dash sits WAY, way back from where the Coronet dash was. Like 18 inches back. So that puts the steering shaft at a much different angle. It remains to be seen if that is enough of a difference to stay away from header problems or if it creates them instead.
