Does anyone know where one might find an OE style "round" air filter element for a 66-68 Hemi??

Thanks!!!

Funny, just 2 days ago I was reading a 2014 issue of Mopar Action and Rick Ehrenberg was asked about this. At that time, his response was:

I found this one through Summit. As with all things Hemi, it ain't cheap.

If you don't mind they were repo-ing them, otherwise $$$.
Don't know availability of the repo's did a search but only found Y One listed it out of stock.

I've used the K-N filters. Unless you're going for show points why not use one? You can't see the filters unless you pop the air cleaner top off and having a K-N filter in your car and actually getting to drive the car beats the heck out of having it sit in the garage because you can't drive it.
My two cents and worth every penny.

Hey Fran, apparently no one is reproducing these pieces, including Mopar!??! Maybe someone has an NOS one laying around otherwise it looks like K&N might be the only song in town!? Thanks, for the reply!

What happened to the repo's that were produced a year or 2 ago? Orange round and oval ones with round holed aluminum mesh.

Well Moparchris, actually I was toying with the idea of showing for points; that's how the car was being restored with that level of detail and it would have been interesting to have the "experts" pick it apart, however, I'm not stressing over it!! With the exception of an NOS piece somewhere, if K&N is the only thing available I guess that's the way I'll have to go!! Thanks

I actually bought one of them a while back while my restoration was in progress. I'd have to dig into my records to see where I purchased it and see if there might still be some still available!? For repops they were pretty nice too!

Was hoping to find a OE piece but it looks like only the K&N is the only thing available at this time!? Thanks
Wonder if Fram or FCA put the lawyers on them, no good deed goes unpunished .

Purge most of old magazines and couldn't find an ad. Ads were in MCG all the time.

I have two NOS, Mopar Performance paper element air filters; part #P2658856. These are still in the tattered Mopar Performance boxes. Application 66-69 426 Hemi round. If interested feel free to P.M. me. They will be posted "for sale" on the classified Forum page shortly.

I'm interested. Your pm box is full

This site hates me. I tried to send you a PM and it told me I could not since your box was full, just like it erroneously told you mine was full. I asked a friend to go on the site and try a few functions and it works great for him. I guess try to PM me again. Alan
