Your assuming everyone in the Air Force is an air crew member on the "Heavy" aircraft.
Not so.
As i mentioned in my other reply, i never heard that term, wherever i was based, and throughout the 1970's when i was active duty.
Maybe it's a generational thing, when that phrase was invented during your time in service. Dunno?
I'm sure we used terms that were specific to the bases i was stationed at, and the European continent, that Airman in the USA never heard of, or used.
