OMG do watch this.....This is the greatest classic car barn find known to man

It could have been a cool video, but after 3 minutes of not understanding mush-mouth over there, I turned it off.

How many of the cars in the woods would have been crushed, melted and turned into rebar by now if they were somewhere else?

So some of you say the guy should have just kept all his money in the bank? Oh the excitement when the bank statement comes each month.:jackoff: He bought what he liked and no one else wanted when they weren't such a big deal. Just happens they have gotten so valuable.

o,i understand that angle, okay, lets go with it,
how many would have been Saved?
and how many are Going to be saved,as long as they are rotting there in them woods?
thats pretty much the def of a hoarder.

im not knocking the guy,but it does hurt to see all those cars rotting away.

Another thing I'll never understand is why some of you are triggered by the term "hoard".
Who said it was necessarily bad. It is what it is.

My guess is that some of you have "collections" as well and take offense to the word.

You have an opinion as others are entitled to......yours is a little biased because your a hoarder as well which I don’t have a problem with because I am sure all of your cars are dry and that’s great.....someday those too will become available.......

My only issue is only in relation to the ones rotting away, any logical mind knows their fate......time to let those cars live again.....

The ones he has inside are preserved and in time will become available.....those fates are better and just a matter of time of becoming available....

maybe they were thinking of this trigger word instead....

I guess one can "hoard" a variety of things: old newspapers, dolls, used toilet paper. But someone who hoards classic automobiles is alright by me!

Yup. Just another opinion. I just don't understand the difference between collecting and hoarding.

I also read all the time on here how such and such car is gonna have way more $$ in it then it will ever be worth if someone tries to restore it but if one is rotting away in the woods it changes?

I am trying to gather the cars i like. I dont care if the value of them is zero. I like them. My family likes them and each has a car or two for themselves. Hoarding? I dont think so.

The Wellborn collection of 71 Hemi Chargers? Now thats what i consider hoarding. They had the majority of the one model produced at one time(or close to it?)

Yeap....some people restore cars and some never will.....I just don’t understand why someone worries about the amount of money one puts into their own car......it’s not their car nor their money....but that’s my opinion. Oops.....begs sometimes a jealous behavior....

I really don’t care what you collect as long as they are cared for, which you do....that’s the important factor.....and that is great!

Since you don’t know Tim obviously....he is a phenomenal guy to say the least very humble and very giving....it’s the people that judge him without knowing him that make assumptions......Tim has fueled the hobby more than anyone in the Mopar world has.....you only see his restored cars it’s the stuff you don’t see....

tim did a helluva lotta work to get those cars and to get nos super unobtanuim parts as well.
some of the things he and his wife created, like the winged cars, are awesome.
i would consider him a collector and a helluva mopar guy,not a hoarder.
plus,he Shares his cars with the world, not letting them rot in the woods.
thats my opinion.

edit:
just saw your post moparnation/justin?
wish i could hit all 3 buttons same time, like agree and thanks.
Respect to Tim

I am not begrudging the Wellborn collection in any way. Just using it as a reference. I am asking where is the line between collecting and hoarding?

thats easy..in the woods..out in the weather..no covers....not being used for anything.
a hoarder is someone who collects stuff and never uses it,
or allows anyone else to use it therefore its all wasted.

To me I dont care who hoards or who collects. I only have so much room in my yard. And priorities come first. My families well being . and bills .

Its cool to see someone had the forsight to hang onto these cars. And in time they will go to market .The best part. There protected from the weather .Not buried in a foot of soil.

He certainly had good taste in his selections. Incredible. All I know is that I could not have afforded even one of them , even used! LOL But I can dream.........

Like the host said in his closing statements, A special man with special cars. Has a passion for cars and bought them when they would have been cheap. Not expecting to sell them to make any money.

He had the talent to restore almost everyone of those cars. Did his own paint work too. And the paint jobs look great. He definitely had the vision of what cars would have been rare before they were. He is a very talented individual and he has a lot of knowledge when it comes to cars of all makes and models.

Wow awesome collection. I really enjoy seeing things like this.I think he used to care for/maintain the cars but obviously doesn't anymore.Honestly, I would rather see these cool cars with a half inch of dust on them before straining my neck over a roped off area in a museum somewhere. I can only imagine what the rodents have done to ALL of them over the years.LOL

Exactly!!

cool old dudes

cool assemblage (?) of a few 'well preserved' cool cars
(as to not offend, 'the hoarders & collectors, whom have hoards of cars themselves')

the rest outside belong to, or go back to 'mother earth'

he said (the owner's son IIRC);
he bought most of them when they weren't worth much,
he worked for a Cheby dealership

I never could understand the need to keep 100's of cars
especially derelict cars, rotting away, unless maybe
you're a salvage/recycle/junk-er org. of some sorts...
I could se 10 or so really cool cars, you could keep up with
without having a staff & millions of $$$ like a Jay Leno or a museum setting
IMO beyond that, it seems like 'an affliction' for collecting
(obsession or compulsion disorder) of some sorts...
