Hey all, looking to repaint my horns. At some point they were painted gloss Black but looks sloppy with drips & runs. I'm assuming the orig. color was Black but do not know if they were painted Gloss, Satin or Flat at the factory.

Thanks in advance!

They were dipped originally......Most will say gloss but I have seen it correctly described as 60% gloss.....Hence to make it simple, semi gloss black.....

Through time, hot and cold the gloss dulled....The clue was the backside of the attachment clamp....

Hi gang! This older posting was just what I needed to see today as I get ready to paint my '68 Charger's horns!!! They definitely need some attention! Yes, mine (with the blue tape) appear to be satin as well. They definitely could have been dipped originally, as the paint looks rather thick. Thanks every Bbody!!
So glad to have this group to help me with my re-restoration!!
