Welcome aboard FBBO

My wife and I visited and had a guided tour through your facility back in 1990 when you were based at Stone Mountain. Sales Rep Jeff Ferguson looked after us very well....I hope he is still around. Also dealt a lot with Jim B. in International. :)

Yes.
They used to be on Mountain Industrial Blvd.
The moved up the road a piece years ago.
I can't pick up parts there anymore.
Last was some floor pans for an A body while driving another A body
I always remember I was saving the car from a junk yard when the towers fell.
Pound puppy nobody wanted.
But now they see it and .....
I've got to ask.
Did you climb Stone Mountain?

Did you climb Stone Mountain?
No, but we had dinner at a recommended Rib joint under the shadow of Stone Mountain. We were in town for only a short time. They had some sort of Laser show against the mountain - it was probably around the first week of August 1990. I'll have a note of the date somewhere. :D

Reading minds again Wayne.....lol....

Shall we talk about inflated shipping charges...........

A part reproduced should look, fit and function the same as the original.....less than 5% parts reproduced come close and less than 2% do.......

The 2% came from ECS....lol.....
We do not make this piece and of course we will try and see what changes can be made. Exactly what is the application you are using it on?

JIM B has been with us for over 30 years. Ferguson moved on. Most everyone here has been here over 15 years.

I feel special, he quoted me 3 times.

Would you happen to know our order number?

You don't make it, but you certainly sell it. Shouldn't you guys make sure it's at least somewhat correct before taking peoples money for parts? It can not be used period, since it's no where near the OE extrusion shape and it's heat formed into an S to fit the three curve back window. If the extrusion was flipped upside down and formed the other way you could make it work, but it would still look like ****.

ALL '68, 69, 70 B bodies except Charger, Daytona and SuperBird. You'd think a volume part like that would be correct. I should add that the same profile extrusion is used on the SuperBird (and probably the Daytona), it is just curved to fit the rear plug vs the three curve standard B body rear glass.

I welcome you guys aboard, but you did ask for advise and suggestions! Now about using the Postal system... and me using those 30 year old coupons!

WE WELCOME YOU AT FBBO!!!

... but being such a big company like you are, with so many years in the market is obvious you can't make everybody happy with the products you sell, and you can see that we all here like to tease each other, we don't want to be rude but if we are we are truly sorry...

NO on the thirty year old coupons. I agree with testing as many parts as possible. Unfortunately not all of them are. We rely on feedback from customers to instruct if there is an issue just like all others. We build cars here as you probably know. Thus, we test all the time. We find really good pieces and we find many that are not so good. When we do, we tell vendor and also attempt to tell customer how part will need to be modified. We ship parts via post office every day.

You'd think I could use at least the 10% coupon to make up for my unusable part that I paid $32 for. :poke: It's bad when the reproduction sales industry is so bad, in general, that many of us have got to the point we just throw brand new purchases in the corner after inspection and buy another from somewhere else, only to track down NOS or good used OE in the end.

Wow, is that page secure? It keeps strobing on and off, and trying to connect to s3.amazonaws.com whatever that is.

You can use code Thanks10 which will give you a 10% discount on eligible items. You can use FORE30 and it will give you up to 30 percent off on discountable items. This item has been sold over 300 times here with 8 returns. This will be 9. How many folks never say a word, I do not know. The old paper coupon could not be used. use the electronic one I told you about. Either one is always there. We are not teasing at all here. We truly are enthusiasts and we want our customers to be happy. I am one of the owners of YR1 speaking with you now. If you wish, you can private message me and I will get you a store credit for what you paid and if you would like to personally speak about it we could even do that.

I guess the other 293 got one that was formed reverse to mine or they all installed it to the window pinch weld to kinda make it work vs the fact it is supposed to attach (actually stapled) to the package tray. I appreciate the offerings and will have to find my invoice and I also appreciate, like I said, YO's 30 + years of being there in the reproduction industry from the days of when there was nobody else. The way to stay on top in the industry though is to be the best. We see **** every day that makes our heads shake, it takes no extra money to mould a plastic part exactly like the OE than it does to make a 95% correct reproduction. That's the stuff that drives us nuts and costs us money as we continue to search for 100% correct parts.
