Lets take a trip down memory lane.

When in grade school in the early 70s, I was a HUGE fan of Tether ball. I was so obsessed, I used to be late returning from recess.

WE usually had a pool growing up so these were a common sight:

Was this the stuff that gave men that greasy look ?

I have heard of these but don't recall seeing them. They were often found in grocery stores?

THIS place ! It is a sad thing that there are so few "Speed shops" around today !

I think the Mars bar and the Rolo are the only ones that I recognize.
I remember the Smarties, the Bolero Bar, the Bassetts hard candies, mars, Toblerone is a German bar, Maltesers became Malted Milk balls, Kit Kats are still around, Nestles Bars, and Rolos too. The rest are from the 50's and 40's...

There's a factory here right on the Main drag into town that used to be a place that built prefab housing. Around 100,000 square feet. Every time I pass the place, it's for sale or lease, I imaging " YANKEE SPEED AND CUSTOM" Across the side in 6' high letters and a row of around 20 hotrods and customs lined up.

I collect some of Coca Cola cooler and one Vendo 44 machine, most of these were being used in the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s.

I used to see them in pharmacies and low budget department stores like Woolworths, Woolco, etc. They were probably in grocery stores. I am pretty sure I saw one in a large camera store back in the early 60's.
