Hi,

Been lurking on the site for a while now and an intro is probably long overdue :)

This story starts about 7 years ago now and I was on the lookout for my first Mopar. Saw the shape of the first gens and decided that was the one for me. Hunted for a while and came across a great example of a '66 (383 auto) in my old hometown in Aus. Came to an agreement and shipped the car over here to the UK where she now lives.

In the US she was last registered in Oklahoma and is a well optioned car with power steering, power brakes, electric windows. Drove her as was for a few years and then, well, the racing bug bit pretty hard. So a few small upgrades later and have been racing in the UK now for about 3 years or so and loving it.

Great site you have here - lots of info which has helped me along the way !

Adrian, tell us about your combo. Would love to hear the details. I am also racing a ´66 Charger with electric windows :) in a stock (not drag radial nor slicks) class. Mine is doing 11.75 on Firestone Firehawks.

Thanks for the welcome.

Few people have asked and at the moment PB on the track is 10.93@125 with a 1.58 60ft. In the current setup I don't think she'll get that much faster - the aim was to get into the 10s so very happy to be there.

Engine is a 440 with 493 stroker, Indy 440 BigEZ heads, 727 trans (with all the upgraded internals), RMVB and a Dana 60 (4.10 gears) on 29x9 slicks. Mostly stock interior with a few changes for safety (cage, drivers race seat).

I love the interiors on these cars and just couldn't bring myself to gut it for weight savings so she's a heavy old lump at @4000lbs.

Yep :) That was the goal - a Pearson tribute. Gathered as may old photos as I could and even bought a 1/32 Slot Car done the same way. Went to a local graphics company here in the UK and they did all the decals as close to original as we could get them.
