Who offers an auto trans backup light and safety switch harness that has the correct plug for round pins? I bought all my harnesses from Evans but they are using the wrong terminals at the switch.

I'd say the "wrong" terminals grab the pins better and make better contact than the round ones.

I don't understand your post.
the harness that was original is a round pin connector and will loosen over time . the new harness like you have is a spring female connector and will keep a good contact over time and the vibration wont loosen over time.

The plug was loose and I am having backup light problems. I generally prefer a factory design over improvements whenever possible. I thought the Packard 56 terminal might have been an "improvement". I found that M&H has the correct tube terminals and ordered it but will keep the improved one as a spare.

OK good luck wiring can be fun. i saw what looked like trans fluid is the neutral safety switch leaking ? that could be the problem ?

The switch was only finger tight so that was a goof. If I jump the terminals at the plug the lights work. It is either a new switch already in it or the plug. Can't see blaming the switch when the plug is loose.

I just bought a new NSS yesterday for my 72 and it has round prongs that fit in the slotted 3 pin connector. I paid $7 at Oriellys.
still stocked on the shelf. HA
