Finally had some time to post after 4 days at the Nats last weekend, owning your own business and going away is not easy before or after you leave. That being said.. So with some great pics from the Mopar Nats showing up of all the beautiful cars, the bad pics of the storm damage and the typical posts from complainers who go or never even went.. Thought we could have a new topic. For me this was the best parts finding/buying trip I ever had. I won't go into detail but just post the best part I found for my wife's car that I have been gathering parts for. Was looking for 68 R/T Door badges. I have had one nice one and a pitted one for 10 years and could never find another single or a reasonably priced pair...(Yes I saw the debacle of the $500 pair a few months ago). Anyway I got these for $25, Yes $25 for the pair!!! They are in excellent condition only needing the black resprayed.. So what did you guys find that you have been looking for?

The long wait really paid off. A bargain at 10X the cost.

I didn't buy anything but I thought this year's show was pretty good. Lots of nice parts. The show is shrinking but was still nice. My 71 is done but my buddy was looking for a nice 68 RR grille for a decent price. Was a few there but over his price range. Great score on the door badges.

If something is sold that cheap, it usually ends up at another spot, significantly marked up. You have to have a swap spot just to get in early and "help" your neighbors unpack to get any deals these days.

When I use to go to swap meets, got there at sun up. Stafford Spring was one my favorites and Papa's Dodge when it was at Farmington Polo grounds. Always wanted to do Stafford night before during setup, was some real deals happened then.

Not always, I will be using them. I have a bunch of cars and always looking for the right parts. I thought they were going to be up there as some stuff at the guys spot was priced up there right along with "dealer" prices. I also bought some other parts from him the day before so maybe that helped since I paid every price he threw at me... I agree you have to get there early and hunt to find stuff. I found a piece of convertible quarter window belt trim for the lady with the Red '71 Shaker hood Challenger shown by the Finer Details that they looked/called everywhere for over a year. I found an original in excellent condition with-in an hour. It was the only one there and was the LH side that she needed. She was very pleased and I made a few bucks off it..

didn't really need anything this year, but saw some things I would have liked to have bought. I stumbled across one of these. My car has the chrome DC valve covers, and one DC breather and one plain. buddy said the guy wanted too much for it so I passed. Been regretting it ever since.
