Hi There,-from toronto canada.
I'm new to BBodys. I just purchased a car -the actual car I had in the late 70's.
I know the history of this car right from 1970.
My cousin owned it and I bought it from him in 1977.
I sold it to a friend who sold it to a guy I know etc. etc.
anyways,,, I have a time line of every owner since, and their phone number. I have always had a line on the car and just purchased it back 2 months ago. The car has not really been driven in the last 20 years.
But bad news; When I owned it in the 70's as a teen, I smacked the left front- I put a
new L/front fender on it and threw the fender tag out. Yup stupid, but at the time, it meant nothing.
I also took the bottom rear seat out to put speakers in and threw out a broadcast sheet-the
The good news is, I know exactly what the car came with as options etc. as my cousin had the car before me and didn't change anything, I have pictures from the 70's too. I know it was FK5 and had black split bench seats and automatic -white roof, dust stripe, air grabber etc. and that the early Vin number is correct.

I have a DOT document with my name on it from the 70's with the correct VIN RM27N0G100023
The interior today is perfectly intact including original am radio. I'm planning a full restoration of the car in the spring of 2020 back to the way it was in 1970.
I have drawn up a correct fender tag and may have one reproduced, all options etc. will be correct. I will never try to say the fender tag is original, although nothing will be 'fake' on it. The build date should be 801 or 802.
Anyways, I'm asking any mopar guys if they can help at all with documentation as this car is 'special' not only to me, but because it's a convertible
and that it was maybe a promotional car (apparently there were 6 made for chrysler canada promotions)and maybe the first convertible '70 made?
lastly, there was mention of a convert 70 RM27N0G100021 in Ontario Canada- it was also FK5 and 383 -if anyone knows of that car? If this 00021 VIN # is actual, I may be able to find out more on my car and find out if my car was the first convert made for 70?
Thanks very much

If it's what you say it is, let the car speak for itself and enjoy it.
Trying to dig documents up to prove it is a waist of time IMHO.
Get a custom fender tag made up for it and have fun. **** em.

Hi maxb, great story on getting back the car you had over forty years ago. :welcome:
Why not pop on over to the welcome forum and let everyone know you've arrived?

RM27N0G100021. Pretty special car.... It's a pre-production pilot, Those who track such things will certainly have it on their radar...

I came close to buying JS27V0B100027 back in the late 80's... I should have done it but the guy who owned it couldn't stick to a price & I quit chasing it...

Check the front seat, the back of the glovebox and under the carpet for a copy of the broadcast sheet.
