The Day it Snowed in San Jose, California (1965?)

I survived the Blizzards of 67 and 79 and the deadly heatwave of 95 in Chicago!

It snows here quite often but it rarely snows enough to cover the ground let alone stay awhile. This was a couple of years ago....the winter right after Harvey. Several years before this, it snowed pretty good but don't know where the pics are. By the time I got out to take these pics, it had already melted a good bit.

I was about 10 years old (neighbors and sister in the photo from across the street (Arroyo Seco Drive).

Looks like you needed every bit of it to get that snowman together!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Here since 1991. No snow in these parts since I’ve been here. Maybe a snow cap on Mount Hamilton in sight from the house. Don’t want to see it either.

It's a pain for me, but the dog loves it. We used to sled until we were numb. It was some of the most fun we could have before we were old enough to thrash cars.

Up here in Manitoba Canada around 3 weeks ago we were hit by a Colorado low! It dropped 20 inches of wet heavy snow in the course of one day! Most of the trees still had leaves on them so the weight of the snow bent and snapped lots of tree's not to mention the hydro poles so at my house alone we had no electricity for 5 days!! Lucky we have a woodstove in the house we were able to cook on it as well as keep the house reasonably warm lve got a generator but hadn't used it for a couple of years anyway l put some new gas in the thing but no way I could get it to start!!!and its not an electric start so pull pull pull on the rope until my arm was nearly falling off but no way. And having no power meant no water as we live in the sticks so no working toilet either! lucky my son borrowed me his spare generator anyway all the 20inches of snow has gone already and we've got power for now anyway ps l got my generator all fixed out plus ive got a load of firewood on its way just in case! And the scary thing about it is its only the middle of November winters still to come!!! weve already had -20 temperatures so wish me luck guys its looking like a long time until spring arrives

With the advent of the internet and Youtube, also came the anti-travel-bureau. So you can find reasons to not go anywhere lol.

Yup, it snows here. Shoveling around my Ramcharger about 8 years ago. Wish I had that now.
