Looking to put new carpet in my Satellite (67 2-door, auto) and there are so many choices. I drive this car a lot, and frequently have to wear boots for work so I want some really good quality carpet and floor mats that are going to wear well.

Can anyone reccommend a really high-quality, premolded carpet? I'm looking for something you actually have experience with in your car, not a link to a good deal. I'm willing to pay more for quality stuff. It's just rolling the dice based on a small picture and description.
Thanks for your time,
Andrew

Before I retired from my detail business, used ACC more than once with no problems. That's what's in my Satellite.:D

Is it the plastic loop style that melts easily, or pile? I'm not sure which style is oem but not really crazy about the loop.

Loop is what came in them as far as I know. Cut pile came along later. Yes it will melt. (as in a doobie seed dropping on it)

Loop pile is correct. ACC Auto Custom Carpet.

Just to clarify, i don't care about OEM correct. I am more concerned about how wear resistant and how well it fits.

I used ACC years ago, worked great. Four years ago the supplier suggested another firm, don`t remember the name, but poorer instructions and harder to deal with.
This time it will be ACC.

Our first Charger has over 100,000 miles on it. Carpet has started to dry out. It was driven all year round had salt snow mud at times.
I think the loop will be just fine. Search around and get a good quality floor mat trim to size if need be. Just recently someone started supplying b body floor mats, rubber I think? The ACC mats look nice, but Could have a better contour in my opinion.

You stated you wanted molded carpet for a 67 Satellite. 66-70 B body floor pans are all the same. In pre-molded carpet ACC is about it.
My suggestion is ACC for the carpet and buy some kind of rubber or plastic type mats to protect it.

not sure where the OP is seeing "so many choices".

used to be ACC and Trim Parts, but ACC bought Trim Parts a couple years ago.

that's pretty much it.

...and 70 B body floor pans are slightly different, but perhaps not enough to affect carpet fitment

@Smokinnjokin , when viewing the ACC website, check out the material alternatives under section four of the drop down menu for either the Cutpile or the Essex materials. The Essex material is more of the material found in the current production cars and is more dense in loop structure. We have sold several sets of this material for owners looking for something more plush and there is also more colors available in going with this material.

You might also want to consider the mass backing. This is the heavy rubberized type of material that all modern automotive carpet sets utilize. Due to the nature of the material, it offers a better noise and temperature barrier than the shoddy padding found on the standard carpet sets. Due to the thickness of the material, it does take more effort to install, but once installed correctly, it is less likely to show wrinkles or puckering.

One other thing to consider is to order the carpet when your ready to install it. I know when I call an order in, it will be cut, molded, boxed and shipped within two days of ordering. That insures that the carpet is fresh and not been packed away in a box for months or years awaiting for its installation. As soon as it arrives, remove from the box and you will find out that the installation is much easier.

Unless your buying a custom cut and sewn carpet set, all of the carpet now comes from ACC as others have spoke to.

As others have mentioned, ACC is the only carpet available now. All the vendors online drop ship it direct from ACC. So, find the cheapest price you can. I used Rock Auto. They were the cheapest plus google them for a discount code. I used the 80-20 loop with the heavy mass backing in my 70 RR and it fit very well.
