69 Coronet 500 For Sale

I would throw 5 k cash at him and drive it away

I was thinking the same thing. Its a west coast island car. I bet there lots of hidden rust there.

I would rather hunt a little more to find a dry car.

I bought my 66 from that area. But it was a garage car most of its life. So I was lucky.

honestly it doesn't look too bad from the pics .. but we know how that can go.
I've seen a lot worse for stupid money.

The floor pans and frame rails look good, just the typical trunk floor, bottom of rear window, quarters, which is common for this area. The problem is where the car is, it's a bit of a pain to get to. It's a couple of ferry rides. I like that is comes with a motorhome 440 and 727. I just watched an episode of Engine Masters where they did a low compression 440 up for low cost.

Looks to be in the ballpark price wise, especially if you can drive it away. Offer $5500 and see what he comes back with. But go look at it before you commit to buy. I'm always worried about cowl rust and rear window rust but what's shown in the picture is decent.

I watched that engine masters clip a few times. Always enjoy Dulcich’s Mopar skills. And he’s right about that motor home 440; it’s a great street engine with 425+ lbs of torque at 2500 rpm. Fry the tires all day long...

Think your OK in the 7000/7500 range. IMHO. I'm always looking at b-body prices and that is a good buy in my neighborhood. Take a look at the under 10k thread and see some junk for that price. 69's have been bringing better prices than most others when looking at Coronets. Of course that depends on what we can't see being sound.

That is a cool coronet. If its what your looking for go buy it. The rails look pretty clean. I don't see him selling that for under 6k realistically. The car is probably worth closer to 7500-8500 keep in mind its a 69 coronet 500 which is a desirable car, possibly more then the 68 and 70 models depending on who you ask.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm kind of liking it too, even though I prefer the Plymouth B Bodies, they are few and far between around here. I like the black bucket//console interior.
He sent a pic of the fender tag, not alot of options on it lol:

Coronet 500
318/904
premium trim, black
black buckets
console
black interior
black vinyl top

Since it's not the original motor, I'm not too concerned about swapping drivetrains, plus it already has the 8 3/4.

I'm totally hooked on those guys! I love what they did with that 68 Roadrunner and the Mach1 daily driver. I'm leaning towards a Roadkill Garage fix up for the first year or two, then getting it painted and finished properly. I would re-do the complete interior right away though, that would bug me lol
