The rake look

Yeah, the weight balance ain't great on these cars to begin with and nose down just makes it harder on 'em
(harder on you to drive them, too).
i am not going to bring the nose down, i like the stock height, i just want the rear up a bit. thanks for your reply!

i just bought some new leaf springs, with 2" lift above stock, from espo as someone recommended, and ill run air shocks minimally inflated. my mickey thompson 28x12r15's will look sick! thank you for all your replies and suggestions! this forum is awesome!

we used air shocks with longer spring shackles , or put the r/e under the springs like pickups have them .

2" over springs are the way to start then get yourself a new front spring hanger with different height holes so you can get it a little higher without using the air shocks , easy to do also. Your not the only one who is tired of seeing lowered cars ,don't get me wrong, their cool and all but their not AC-DC with a mullet cool.

Maybe this decade will be a bit more retaliating

best part is you can do exhaust work without a jack! don't expect the car to hook up when launching it with air shocks/shackles or stop when you need to if wet out! I had both setup's. my 69RR was lifted with shackles, airshocks with extensions, 323,8 3/4 n50/14 positrac tires and air shocks it would just spin the tires if you tried to get off the line quick,my 66belii had an extra leaf added D60 391 L60/15 torque twisters, 90/10 monroe shocks in the front, it would rip the asphalt it hooked so hard and then pull a front tire going into second. air shocks/shackles garbage imho!

The above car in the movie Thunderbolt and Lightfoot.
