Has anyone bought parts from them?

They have something in there inventory I want but I have no way to call them to see if the inventory is accurate or if the part is NOS or used.

They have no phone number?

I was just wondering why there is no number to actually call them... only a voicemail?

I emailed them this morning and have yet to get a response back...

He is still in business!!! Excellent

I lost his address and phone number a long time ago and I didn't see his ad when I looked at a recent Hemmings Motor News.

Len is one man, he will get back to ya.... If you want it yesterday call last week...

Think about the holiday season.....vacations, etc.....

They respond but it will take a few days or a few weeks or anything in between....

Good Lord, talk about an icon in our hobby. Mr. Dawson's biz has been around since the 70's!
I used to pay to get the master list of all the NOS stuff he had at any given time, back before
the days of the interwebs.
Never had a bad interaction with any of them there. Good to see they're still there!

Hey, these folks need to take work more seriously.... What are they? Semi Retired???

FWIW I flew home December 24th & pulled into the driveway around 1730 hours....My flight tomorrow requires I hit the road before 0800..... They would have liked me back sooner... My version of Semi Retired isn't working out to well.....

It is boxing day after all ! I've shut down all my businesses completely, for 30+ years, from Christmas Eve at noon until Jan 2nd. Don't bother me, I'm either with family or on a car or airplane forum! LOL

Len has never been in no hurry for sure.........I always realized I was on his time clock....lol....

Retired, what the heck is that?...lol.....Yeah, doesnt sound like Semi Retired but I hear retired folks complain all the time. That they were less busy when they were working...

The only thing different in my life since retirement is that I work more but I get to take a break whenever I want!

Eh, the dude's been at it for DECADES now. He has (or used to, anyways) one of the most amazing
inventories of NOS stuff, the kind of hundreds of pages of stuff that boggles the mind - the sort of stash
Mitchell had, maybe even more so.
I can remember writing (as in with my hand with a pencil on paper) him asking about this part or that one
and getting an answer a few weeks later. If the part had sold in the interim, oh well, luck of the draw...
But I also remember the "vibe" of doing business with Dawson's being a lot more positive in those days
than when doing so with Frank. I liked buying from Dawson; I only bought from Mitchell when I had to.

I wonder if any of you other "old-timers" remember things that way?

I bought for him, no worries. Leave a voicemail, or email. He's one man. I'd use him again, definitely!

I bought some unobtanium NOS Forward Look parts from him long ago and was very happy dealing with him. Glad to hear he is still at it.

why in HELL would anyone name a company that sells products using the word "deception"???

I can't put my finger on it, but it seemed like Len had a "personal touch" and Mitchell's was all business. Also, I remember Len having parts that no one else had available.

Time marches on. I'll gladly do business with either one of them when I need that rare part. Note: Mitchell's is now AMS Obsolete. My purchase from AMS was via the impersonal internet...sign of the times. Also, via email a couple of years ago, they gave me an attractive purchase quote for my NOS connecting rods. Side note: I still have them:D. I'll probably sell in 2020 as I no longer have plans to use them.
