So, I need a sanity check! Some years ago I purchased a new console for a 68 GTX and all of the related parts.
I bought them from a place called "ATP". Looks like they're not around anymore? Anyway, the posts that the
Acorn Palnuts are supposed to mount the hinge to are too small? I have purchased two sets of Palnuts and
they just fall on without tightening. I can't get in touch with anyone to verify the post size as no one has a
phone number on their web sites anymore. Here are some pic's.

I threaded mine and put nuts on them. Find a fine threaded die and thread the studs. The threads will not be quite far enough due to the dies starting taper. Flip the die and thread it as far as it will go. I got tired of the junk not working. You will be glad you threaded them.

Now, why couldn't I find those???? I looked everywhere, even their site! Thank you!
Yeah, they are obsolete and the Gentleman said there was a $150.00 order limit.

So, pnora gave me the info I needed and I followed his instructions! I was afraid that the posts were too
fragile to withstand the twisting, but they held up nicely. I used Nylock nuts instead of acorn nuts. No
trophy for me!
