Dave Dudek

Very well known on the cruise-ins around the Detroit area. Very nice guy to talk to and just a boatload of knowledge. If you want a car done by him, you go on a waiting list. Thanks for the article Denis.:thumbsup:

What a great write-up. Thanks for sharing Dennis!

Thanks, Dennis.
I recall reading years ago that Dave used to race an E body in the F.A.S.T. series but switched to the Road Runner because something about the body length and chassis allowed for lower ETs....

I'd like to take a tour through Peter Swainson's shop. Over three dozen Mopars!

From the article...
"Two decades ago, Dudek co-founded a racing organization called F.A.S.T., which stands for "Factory Appearing Stock Tire."

Thanks...My point was that he USED to race an E body but switched to a B.

I think he's turning high 10s in a F.A.S.T. Hemi Roadrunner.
I think the B-body has great weight distribution and straight line stability for 1320 racing.

That Road Runner ran 9.89 in the quarter mile.
From the article:
...Dudek, who races his 1969 Hemi-powered Plymouth Road Runner.
He wowed spectators by clocking in 9.902 seconds at 140.31 mph at the Maryland International Raceway
.
:lowdown::lowdown:
On bias ply 70s....
THAT blows my mind!

That was a great read by the way. Loved seeing his dedication to perfection while upgrading areas internally and with newer generation drive trains while keeping it all original in his re-assembly...cr8crshr/Bill:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::usflag::usflag::usflag:
