So something came up the other night on a Barrett Jackson auction. So the one guy taking about the cars pointed to a factory hole in the firewall on a 70 Super bird for the vacuum line to go to the headlights. He said only the Super Bird has this hole. Well my Roadrunner has this hole. I have enclosed a pic of the hole. In the finished pic you can see the red power wire for my amp going through it.
I have enclosed a pic of my fender tag. Can anyone help me decode it for me?
When I restore this I had no clue this could be a Super Bird.
Thanks

Hell, it has a wing, of course it's a Superbird....:lol:

Since we’re talking about holes what is the hole in the lower part of the shock tower in the pic?

Last line of the fender tag:
RM = Belvedere/Satellite - Medium level
21 = 2 door Coupe
N = 383 4 bbl
0 = 1970
G = St Louis Plant

All Superbird VINs would start with:
RM23_0A

No Birds had a 5th digit of N, as the base engine ("smallest") was the U code, 440-4 bbl.

I hope this answered your questions.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions. I appreciate you!!

The hole for the vacuum line plug is larger than the tach wire hole (below).

Yea I had to chuckle when he said that hole is only on superbirds.....How about a 68-69 Charger with the same hole for the vacuum operated headlight doors? I was surprised too because Steve Magnante is usually pretty good with those facts.
