Gentlemen, quick question, switching my 8 3/4 out with Dana 60, question is Will the straps of the 8 3/4 work on the Dana 60 yolk, I know it will line up and screw in but not sure if it has an effect on the Dana's u-joint cups, the Dana is missing it's straps, have extra 8 3/4's.
Thanks in advance

Depends on what YOKE the 8 3/4" and the Dana have. If both use the 7290 u-joint, the straps will work. I think the '66 Dana used the 7260 u-joint.

66's believed used 1330 u-joint.

You have the parts sitting in front of you, what do you think? Do they look identical?

Your driveshaft you have for 8.75 will be to long. Did a driveshaft come with the dana?

yes, on the driveshaft,
straps from 67 741 rear.
Are the caps the same size from respective u-joints.
Both original equip, Dana 23 pinion spline flange, I have it, don't have 741 anymore
I just don't know if u-joint caps are the same size, whether the 741 straps will work on dana 60 yolk or cause problems

Dana 60's from Mopar cars had 29 spline yokes and in 68 they had 7290 u-joints. Do you have the 68 Dana drive shaft to go with the rear? Your answer wasn't clear to me. You need to find out what u-joints you have on driveshaft and yoke. Measure cups sizes. 741 straps will only work on 7260 u-joints.
1330 u-joint cups size 1.0625"
7290 uj cup sz 1.126"
7260 uj cup sz 1.078"
Here is a website with info.

Hmmm, I have a 68-9 dana with u-bolts, two more yokes, one with straps one with u-bolts. I’ll measure tonite, just thought they where the 7290 type. Now the race car dana has the conversion joint 1350 to 7290, using a 69 4speed Dana driveshaft.
UPDATE
Ok, eye opener, 7 Dana flanges.
2- 1-1/16-3.61 outside tabs- straps 1330
2-1-1/16-2.09 inside clips straps small dodge joint 7260
1-1/18-2.61 clips & straps 7290
1-1-1/8-3.61 tabs & u-bolts-7290
1-1-3/16-3.61 tabs & u-bolts- 1350
Very surprised the 1-1/16 cups on the stock Dana’s
Could be off a little on the widths
