Finally.... My 2019 Carlisle Photos. Long Time Comin'

Just saying nothing like looking at a bunch of new yellow challengers ,not for me.

Great pics! I'm guilty of putting that paper under the wiper of the silver/red 69 Charger. Great guy from Canada I talk to every year. That was on Sunday on our way out. That car is absolutely stunning in and out.

Slippin' em your phone number incase he wants to ever sell it? I'm only kidding
Lol no actually he's been after us to sell him the Charger for about the last 5 years. The little woman wasn't going to budge so he ended up finding the silver one. Happy wife--happy life.

awesome pics thanx...I live in Pa. and am guilty of having never been to Carlisle..I've always wondered about parking..if you're not in the show are there reasonable places to park your classic or do you have to park in the anything goes general parking ??

Honestly if you plan to be there from friday through sunday you're better off registering your car for the show. A) it's a guaranteed space all weekend B) the car will be much closer than parking outside the fairgrounds C) by the time you pay to park for 3 individual days plus pay for tickets it might be less expensive just to register for the show.

I did not really remember 'till this year that with the Mod tops,,,,,the Plymouth also got the interior treatment on the seats and door panels as with the Dodge only the roof:moparsmiley::usflag:

Great pix.
I need some help!
I've never been to Carlisle
, but I am trailering my 70 Roadrunner there this year!
:bananadance:
I am getting a bunch of stuff installed, and some of it is really going to "show well" like the 4 wheel 6 piston red Wilwood calipers, very visible through my 17" Year One aluminum Rallye wheels. The Black Diamond finish Wraptor serpentine belt and accessories system, and I'm going to get LiveWire ignition wires (they have a set specifically for RB engines with TTi headers! ) I guess the Dakota Digital gauges are the only other thing I'm adding that will be readily noticable, but I'm also going to have Assassin traction bars, and I've had my yellow and black Scat Procar bucket seats, and the one of a kind Blue Thunder "bench seat pistol grip shift lever compatible" console...The Vintage Air AC system and new power steering will make driving it nicer, and I'm going to have the complete QA1 K-member and front suspension system installed.
So...
I've never been, I'm going to register this week, and I'd like the "veterans" of Carlisle to suggest where to stay, what kind of ACTIVE car related events are happening (like racing, cruising, etc) and anything else that may help.
Also is anyone coming up from anywhere around south :confederateflag:Louisiana?:confederateflag:
Thanks.

This mod top A-12 has GOT TO be one of one, right? I can absolutely appreciate it, while not my "cup of tea", especially for a bad *** performance animal, but it is really cool, especially if you set your mind clock back to 69-70...

Unfortunately there is no cruising, but racing happens just down the road. I never been to the track there before though, so I would ask Al (HEMI-ITIS) about this as I beleive he races there. Carlisle has special guests, this year is Butch Leal who raced California Flash and Christy Lee of All Girls Garage and Barrett Jackson. Carlisle also has a Dodge thrill ride, a survivior car display, and special anniversary building displays. This years displays are 50 years of Pro-Stock, the Duster, Superbird, Challenger, T/A Challenger and AAR Cuda. Carlisle also has different types of seminars, a burnout contest where you sit in a box and smoke your tires, and whoever wins gets a signed Richard Petty hat and a Burnout King (or queen) title, and if you are into girls then they have a "Daisy Duke" contest where women 18 plus dress up in plaid and short shorts (like Daisy Duke) and get votes to earn the title of Miss Carlisle Chrysler Nationals.

As far as hotels, right near the show ones are going to be expensive unless you book way early in advance, so it is probably best to go a little ways out. It is up to you, but I would suggest NOT staying at the Super 8 on the main drag, my family and I stayed there a couple years ago, and we did not like it.

As far as places to eat go to the MiddleSex Diner for breakfast, they have great food and you will not be disappointed. It has been tradition for us now every year. For lunch or dinner may I suggest Black & Bleu restaurant in Mechanicsburg, or the Appalachian Brewing Company also in Mechanicburg. Otherwise that is all I can think of at the moment.

Here is the Carlisle website if you have not seen it already.

Some great information already provided by 66ChargerHI-PO, but I will add a note about hotels. Likely all the hotels are already full, and even if they are not, they are quite expensive (or you will need to get one far away). If you are willing to stay in a tent, simply rent a vendor spot and stay in a tent at the vendor spot. This way, you stay on site with your car (you can park it at the vendor spot at night). It's cheap and fun if you can "rough it".
